KAYE HORN

I was self-employed as a residential mortgage broker who originated home mortgages by meeting with home buyers or home owners, taking their loan application, evaluating their credit history, establishing market value of the property held as collateral, expediting the paperwork to underwriting, then to closing, attending closing and resolving any post-closing issues relative to the transaction. I developed a marketplace, established a database and funded loans in excess of $200,000,000 in 19 years of mortgage origination.

I achieved success at every financial institution where I originated mortgage loans, earning President’s Club in 1996 and frequently being named top producer at Texas Commerce and Savings of America. I served as President of the Greater Houston Association of Mortgage Brokers in October, 2004. I was active in GHAMB and TAMB professional associations.

I retired from mortgage banking in January, 2008, avoiding the big storm 7 months later.
